Al Fresco

Oh boy, every cottage was filled with guests who love eating al fresco.  They cooked up a storm and enjoyed their cookery outside. My heart was singing at the sight.

It started with breakfast when I spotted Isaac and his younger brother Elias having their meal all by themselves.  Wellllll, you can see their parents on the swing watching that everything goes the way it should.  These two little men were so darling.

The feasting continued in the late afternoon and evening when, again, I spotted the kids and a couple of other cottages enjoying dinner.

After Dinner Drinks

I let them talk me into a glass of vino 🙂

This is what it’s all about.  Happy summer to meeeeee

Simple pleasures

Mother’s Day morning we all went to Dorothy’s house and from there we walked to the Lighthouse Cafe’ in Elberta for the traditional breakfast.  Such a simple thing and so satisfying – Mother’s Day breakfast make everyone happy.

We WALKED – all of us except Dorothy and Fuzz.  Mind you it’s maybe 600 yards from their house to the cafe’.

All of Elberta had that same breakfast in mind, because as we got close to the restaurant, we could see droves of people standing outside waiting for tables to free up inside.

I took pictures of the people.

Not too exciting but then I saw this and it made me smile because it looks like a copy of what I doodle when talking on the phone.

Weird, I know.

Ok, enough

The 411 – I got it

I have totally new news!

Frankfort is losing a breakfast spot and gaining a shnazzy new restaurant.
Huge remodel is on the way and it was whispered that
Betsie Bay Furniture
will take care of the interior decorating.
That means that the restaurant not only serves up a feast for your tummy, it’s also a feast for your eyes.

I have a feeling this is the last we’ll see of that exterior.
I was never keen on it, somehow looks like something that was supposed
to be in Gaylord’s Alpine inspired neighborhood.

I, for one, cannot wait to eat there at the Bayview Grille.
Hold on to your seats people — there will be outdoor seating

I know more about the building next door to this one

but I don’t know if I am allowed to tell you yet.
