Working in the Hummingbird (cottage 6) yesterday, I was enveloped by the scent of the lilac blossoms. Heavenly.

A quick walk through the backyard this afternoon. Temps were in the mid 70’s here by Lake Michigan – simply a perfect Michigan spring day.
Marc is working on his boats. He’s been fishing for and catching lots of pan fish on lower Herring Lake
Maybe this year the Wayfarer boat might also get a work out this year
The duck boat! It’s not duck season but a boy always has fun working on his gear 😉
See the shower back there? It’s going to be great for those guest who want to get the sand of their legs after coming back from the beach

Finally today, the weather has turned warm and sunny. It was a pretty cold Memorial Day weekend. As it got warmer, the air smelled sweeter. So sweet in fact, that I followed my nose and looked at our apple trees first and then made the round to the lilacs.
