Today – more shopping and more food in Traverse City with Lee and Roxie.
First I’ll tell you that I bought two beautiful chairs
at that resale store we visited last Monday
(the house is coming together. I still need to get covers for the outlets,
bury the internet cable and get a huge rug, but it’s coming along just fine)

And then I’ll tell you about a really good restaurant.
As you have figured out by now, I am one of those “foodies”. Lee suggested that we try out a relatively new restaurant in T.C’s old town.
Mmmmm…………..
Phil’s on Front
Oh my goodness, it was good. It was very good indeed.
Here are pics – not of food but of us
heehee, this one is great. Lee and Roxie and at the table behind us is Sue. We didn’t know each other.
She was there 1 week too early to have lunch with friends. She kept posing along and I caught her.
When she found out that she was early we invited her to sit with us but she decided to leave.
What a hoot. Sue, if you read this, please comment 🙂
…
Richard! Maitre D. (Roxie loved him, heehee)
I also need to introduce you to Elvis’ daughter or grand-daughter, here she is
Theresa (one of the servers)
Here is Phil on the right.
On our way to the car, Lee insisted that I take a picture of the guys working on this exciting, new construction.
.
Construction Guy 🙂
I love your pillow, Iris. Your chair is beautiful and it looks like the 3 of you had a wonderful day!!
thanks Robbyn, I love that fabric too. I have a bunch more in that direction (with those colors), all out of silk, all over the sofa
Love the chairs. But more importantly, the three of you ladies look marvelous! Sounds like it was a fun day, wish I could have come along. 🙂
Me too. When you’re old-er, you should consider moving in with me or maybe visiting for longer than 3 days, heehee
I forgot to add that construction guy’s picture. I don’t know why.
You guys always look like you have so much fun!
We do have fun. Otherwise why spend time together. Steel Magnolias, maybe?
Iris, Lee and Roxie,
It was delightful to be part of your Fun Friday adventure. I loved seeing the pictures. You were so very nice to invite me to join you when you saw that I was going to be alone. (I quickly joined up with my Mom and sister for lunch.) Next Friday, when I actually have lunch at Phil’s, I’ll be thinking of you.
Gosh it was nice having you there, Susan. Maybe one day we can meet for cocktails or lunch, what do you say?
You gals are silly. I like that! Just a reminder, that if you ever want to get rid of that other chair (ya know the one) I’d like to be first in line. My lonely empty corner in the family room just beckons it. (I’ll have to send a pic of said corner) I’ll even come and pick it up!! Ivanka and I are going on the next shopping trip. hee-hee.
Oh man, I can will that chair to you but I know I can’t give it away because it’s part of a set 😛
I can’t wait to go shopping with you two tootses!!!
The living room is looking wonderful…can’t wait to see the mirror and the picture. Love the rug that Lee picked out too
Why thank you, Row. The mirror, mehhhh – it looks like a homemade project went horribly wrong. It’s on the wall, because I need something there until I find the funds to replace it with something good.
I bet it would pass for a very artsy-fartsy frame!!! How about a picture?
How about you come and inspect it in person?
I am afraid to bore the other readers here with my shtuff
You need to fix the “jump to the comments” button it doesn’t work for me…. Since I AM the Maintenance man I thought I should bring that to your attention!.. 🙂 Who loves ya!!!!
Dear Maintenance Guy, that button works for me and no one else has brought forth this issue. I suggest you go to your computer guy and let him know that his stuff is giving you trouble
You ladies are a hoot! I love how you bring your camera and take pics when you go out to lunch. 🙂
Well yes, that’s because the blog is called “Adventures of an innkeeper” since there’s nothing going on around here, everyone has to suffer my camera
