The Weatherman, pfft

Our weather is never what the weatherman threatens us with.
Forecasting the weather has to be the ONLY job where you can be wrong or almost right 70% of the time and you still get to keep your job.

Today, the weather map was looking just as gloomy as gloomy can be. “Rain, more rain and cold temps for the next 3 days”, blablabla. Β None of it came true. Admittedly the sky was sort of dark-ish for most of the morning but then the gorgeous sun came out and the temps stayed in the mid seventies, which is exactly where I like them, and of course there is always that wonderful breeze off Lake Michigan.

The moral of that story is, don’t believe any weather reports, ever! πŸ˜‰

  1. Oh you are not kidding about the weather. We have a beautiful day here, sunshine, and it almost feels like the beginning of a hot summer day. πŸ™‚

  2. Ah, mid-seventies. It must be a beautiful day.

  3. You are so right. Think of what we miss out when we put our faith in weather forecasts. We’d have much better luck lots of times just sticking our heads outside the door. πŸ™‚

    • Yes exactly. And if they’d say there’s a 60% chance of sunshine rather than there’s a 40% chance of rain, we’ d all be better off. My glass is always half full and so should be theirs πŸ˜‰

  4. I like the new theme! Blog is looking great.
